Setting Up Auto-Reply In Webmail

Auto-reply is a feature in wisnet.com webmail that works exactly like the 'out-of-office' settings used in desktop email programs. It's easy to set up, here's how!
Note: Each sender will receive the reply message only once.
Note: If mail forwarding is activated and copies of forwarded email are not being saved, auto-replies will not be sent.
Step 1: Click the Settings link, located in the upper right corner of the webmail window.
Step 2: In the left pane, click Incoming Email.
Step 3: Click the Auto-Reply tab.

Step 4: Turn the auto-reply feature on or off, as desired.
Step 5: If you turned the status to On, you can adjust the outgoing auto-reply message, as desired.
Step 6: To enable the auto-reply message only during a specific time frame, select the Enable only during the following time frame check box, and then select a start and end time.
Step 7: Click Save. and you are all set!

Shutdown Computer with Your Cell Phone

Using this method, a user can shutdown, restart, hibernate, etc. his or her computer, just by sending an email from his or her phone.

To do this, all you will need is Microsoft Outlook which should come with Microsoft Office, which most people have. This will need to be on the computer wish you wish to shutdown.

So, this is how you do this:

1. First, you need the batch files to perform the Shutdown, Hibernate etc. You can write them down yourselves

2. open your note pad

and write lik this...

c:\windows\system32\shutdown -s -f -t 00

and save it as shutdown.bat

3. Open up Microsoft Outlook. Make sure that you have already configured it for your email.Now we will need to make it so that Outlook checks your inbox about every minute (1 minute for testing time can be increased if a delayed shutdown is desired). You can do this by going to Tools: Options.

4. Then click the Mail Setup tab, and afterwards, the Send/Receive button.

5. Make sure that the Schedule an automatic send/receive every... box is checked, and set the number of minutes to 1. Now you may close all of these dialog boxes.

6. Now go to Tools: Rules and Alerts... Next click the options button in the upper right hand corner and press the Import Rules button.

7. Now select the shutdown.bat file ...whi u hv created ...

8. Now, when you send a message from your phone to your e-mail address with the subject shutdown or smsshutdown%%, your computer will shutdown.


Use of any of the Isolated or dead E-mail address or any e-mail will shutdown your computer. Enjoy.

How to Temporarily Lock your PC when Someone Enter Wrong Password

When you are away from your desk somebody (colleagues,friends) may try to login into your computer by guessing your password.We will use windows security settings to temporarily lock your computer if wrong password entered more than couple of times.This will make it harder to guess your password as after 3 wrong passwords your system will get locked for 30 minutes

  

How to Lock your PC when After Wrong Password Attempt:-

• In the Start up search box type Local Security Policy and press enter.

• From the left window pane expand Account Policies and select Account Lockout Policy option in it.
• Now in the right window pane look for the Account lockout threshold option and double click on it.

• A new window will be open and give the value after how many invalid password attempts you want to lock your computer.

• Click on Apply button and a window will be open telling you Account will lock down for 30 minutes. You can also change the time settings by clicking on the Reset account lockout counter according to your need.
• Now click OK.

That’s it. Now your computer will be temporally locked for some time that you had set in the settings when someone will enter wong password.
